About the Opportunity

Samuel Smith & Son is now looking for an enthusiastic individual to take on a full-time Sales Support position within their Melbourne team. 

This fast-paced and varied role will see you responsible for supporting the field team, as well as Sales Managers, in their daily requirements, including reporting and event coordination. You'll also be responsible for handling all incoming calls and sales supply queries.

More specifically, some of your key duties will include:

  • Coordinating national credit applications and queries from customers;
  • Acting as the first point of contact for all customer and supplier walk-ins to the branch;
  • Leading the customer experience through Salesforce Optimisation;
  • Facilitating the creation and distribution of our ‘Go to Market’ collateral;
  • Coordinating all meeting requirements, including ensuring facilities are in order;
  • Completing reporting requirements as needed; and
  • Acting as a back-up Branch Office Coordinator when required (i.e. overseeing accounts payable, etc.).

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong initiative and excellent communication skills to become part of a high performing team. 

Samuel Smith & Son is looking for an energetic individual with experience in a similar sales support position, along with a strong understanding of the sales process and environment. Event management/coordination skills and/or experience will also be highly regarded.

Due to the nature of the role, the successful candidate will thrive in a busy sales environment. It is important you have exceptional organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to deadlines. You'll also be competent in the use of computer programs such as Microsoft Excel, and have experience with Salesforce or similar CRM - this will allow you to learn systems and processes quickly after induction, ensuring you hit the ground running! Although not essential, any experience with InDesign, Photoshop or similar will aid you in the events aspect of the position.

Importantly, you'll be excited about the idea of working collaboratively within a small team in this family owned business.
